Babysitting and care giving have always been a part of my life. I come from a family of ten children from Missouri. So, babysitting, needless to say, came pretty naturally. Growing up on a farm in southern Missouri has taught me to be very self reliant and understanding. I’ve cared for four of my younger siblings from newborn till pre-teen age, so diaper changing and temper tantrums don’t scare me. I also have three nephews (all under age 9) that I’ve also cared for at various stages from infancy to grade school. My nephew, Charlie, would probably say my biggest assest is my ability to play “monsters and superheros”. However, he is only 3, so I’ll just tell you that I have a vivid imagination and endless source of energy when it comes to watching children. My method of care giving is play hard, fall asleep by bedtime. I 1st started getting paid to watch children when I was 16. I became an after school care nanny for three children at various grade school levels.
